Subfolders prove indispensable for when you have a lot of cc, but as I mentioned if you've played the Cats and Dogs version with no problem, you should be ok. also, I'm somewhat presuming you have that pack, but even if not, I'd be cautious as it's a new computer. Sims VIP often does a large post on cc fixes. I would also check game mods first (if you have any) & check for any updates on them, often for future reference as well. Continue this until you have them all in your game with no problem. that may crash your game, by starting the game each time you add a folder, to make sure of no corrupted or broken mods / cc.
The game will show a warning when using script mods. If you’re using script mods, also check Script Mods Allowed. Check the box to Enable Custom Content and Mods.

With a new computer, I would definitely want to make sure it runs smoothly so with reference to your mods and cc I would treat them like a new update and not transfer them over in '.one', especially if you've bought this computer because of the Cats and Dogs Pack, a lot of mods and cc cannot handle it. Also, if you've been playing with no problem on your old computer, then perhaps it's ok to go ahead and move the mods folder over.
